The capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh lies near the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers. This riverside town still maintains considerable charm despite its recent turbulent history. You spend two days seeing some major sights in town and drive past the stunning countryside to explore the ruin complex of Tonle Bati. Relaxing by the riverside, you catch an interesting view from the bustling street to the far villages. |

ITINERARY FOR THIS TRIP |
Day 1: Arrival - Phnom Penh
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, meets and transfers to hotel
Visit the National Museum, The Royal Palace, built by the French in 1866 on the site of the old town, and Silver Pagoda, which located within the Royal Palace ground. You will then end your tour with a visit to Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh's namesake and have short tour to Killing Field were a number of sites in Cambodia where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime.
Boarding the boat for Mekong Sunset Cruise (1 hour)

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Tonle Bati - Killing Field - Phnom Penh (B)
After breakfast at hotel, leaving Phnom Penh to majority of the Exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th century, but some date from as early as the 4th century. The next stop is one of the city's lively open markets, Psar Toul Tom Pong, all called the "Russian Market". We enjoy a walk around this bustling trading center and see plenty of local handicrafts and artifacts. The painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge still can be seen at the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious 'Killing Fields' of Choeung Ek. We visit these infamous sites before heading south to explore the complex of Tonle Bati with Ta Prohm and Prasat Yeay Peo Temple. The ideal way of spending your last evening in Cambodia is to relax in a cafe by the riverfront. O/N in Phnom Penh.
Day 3: Phnom Penh - Departure (B)
There is a free time for your own exploration of the city and around the shopping areas. The trip ends after transfer to Pochentong Airport for departure.
