Starting and ending in Phnom Penh, this trip explores some major sights of the capital city including the infamous killing fields of Choeung Ek . The next stop is Siem Reap where you will visit what is regarded as one of the world's greatest archaeological monuments, the magnificent Angkor temple complex. Off the temples, you travel by boat along the Tonle Sap River back to the capital city and explore the scenic landscape changing along the wa. |

ITINERARY FOR THIS TRIP |
Day 1: Arrival - Phnom Penh - Killing Field
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, meets and transfers to hotel
Visit the National Museum, The Royal Palace, built by the French in 1866 on the site of the old town, and Silver Pagoda, which located within the Royal Palace ground. You will then end your tour with a visit to Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh's namesake and have short tour to Killing Field were a number of sites in Cambodia where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime.
Boarding the boat for Mekong Sunset Cruise (1 hour)

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap By Flight - Angkor System(B,D)
Transfer to Phnom Penh airport to Siem Reap via short flight. Upon arrival at Siem Reap, you are met our guide and transferred to hotel
Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See The South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant
In the afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's Five Tower symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean beyond. Sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of two Hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat. After tour, you will enjoy buffet dinner with Traditional Apsara Dance Show

Day 3: Angkor Temples (B)
In the morning, you will continue your temple visits. Included are Prasat Kravan (with its unique brick sculptures), Srah Srang ("The Royal Boths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by four concentric walls), Eastern Mebon (guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation) and the "Mountain Temple" of Pre Rup.
In the afternoon, transfer to the archaeological site and continue to the temple tour. Visit Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery, then, visit Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda Temple. Afternoon Visit Old market or Artis and Angkor.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei Temples - Phnom Penh By Flight (B)
Breakfast at Hotel, visit Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical khmer art. Then continue your visit to Banteay somre, built the third quarter of the 12th century .it consist of a central temple with four wings proceeded by a hall and accompanies by a two libraries, the southernmost of which is remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble.
Afternoon visit the floating village of chong khneas, located 10 km south of Siem Reap. Later afternoon transfer to airport for flight back to Phnom Penh. O/N in Phnom Penh
Day 5: Phnom Penh - Departure (B)
There is a free time for your own exploration of the city and around the shopping areas. The trip ends after transfer to Pochentong Airport for departure.
