ITINERARY FOR THIS TRIP |
Day 1: Arrival - Siem Reap - Angkor System
Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, meets and transfers to hotel. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See The South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
In the afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing . Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's Five Tower symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean beyond. Sunset from Phnom Bakheng , one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat.

Day 2: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples (B,D)
In the morning, you will continue your temple visits. Included are Prasat Kravan (with its unique brick sculptures), Srah Srang ("The Royal Boths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by four concentric walls), Eastern Mebon (guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation) and the "Mountain Temple" of Pre Rup until sunset.
In the afternoon, transfer to the archaeological site and continue to the temple tour. Visit Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Then, visit Takeo , Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda Temples. After tour, you will enjoy buffet dinner with Traditional Apsara Dance Show

Day 3: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake (B)
Visit the Floating Village of the Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia and the largest in Asia.
In the afternoon, visit " Les Artisans d'Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles " of Siem Reap and time at leisure at the local market . O/N in Siem Reap
Day 4: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei Temples (B)
Breakfast at Hotel, visit Banteay Srei Temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical khmer art. Then continue your visit to Banteay somre, built the third quarter of the 12th century .it consist of a central temple with four wings proceeded by a hall and accompanies by a two libraries, the southernmost of which is remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble.
Afternoon visit the Floating Village of Chong Khneas, located 10 km south of Siem Reap. O/N in Siem Reap
Day 5: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh By Boat (B)
The following destination of our trip is Phnom Penh via an express boat from Siem Reap. This river journey takes anything from four to six hour depending on season. No matter how long it will be, it is still an unforgettable experience as we can have close contact with local passengers and see the picturesque scenery changing all along the way. On arrival at Phnom Penh pier, you are met by our guide and transferred to hotel. Then we have a city tour: visiting the only one hill in town with sacred sites called Wat Phnom, and to the Independent Monument. After the lunch break at a restaurant, in the afternoon, we visit Royal Palace, one of the most beautiful samples of Khmer palace, which allows us to visit the precious Throne Hall, Prasat Khemarin, Prasat Samren Phirum, Hor Preah Khan, Chan Chhaya, and Silver Pagoda where the king regularly does the warship. Then we move to the nearby National Museum where is collective of post-Ankorian antiques. Then we go through the River Front Park whose scenery is much worth shooting before experiencing the exciting Boat Cruise along the Mekong River bank to see the lovely Phnom Penh city at night with breathtaking view along the river. Day 6: Phnom Penh - Killing Field (B,L)
Today, we spend the morning visiting the unforgotten Toul Sleng Museum where is the largest center of detention and torture of Khmer Rough regime, and head to another similar genocidal site of Cheung Ek Killing field. (Attention, both places could be quite a heartily horrific and depressing experience.) In the afternoon, city orientation tour includes Phnom Penh Municipality Hall, National Library and shopping at New Central Market where we find various kinds of souvenirs ranging from clothes to Galleries O/N in Phnom Penh. Day 7: Phnom Penh - Sihanoukville (B)
As soon as after the breakfast at the hotel, we depart to Sihanouk-Ville, the Cambodia's leading beach resort. Once we get there, we will have chance to witness a spectacular view of the white-sand beach where we can swim or sunbath as we want. Our lunch will be at the beach, then we can relax or enjoy various activities ranging from playing volleyball to swimming until the evening when is the perfect time to see the sunset. After the dinner at the local restaurant, we have a city tour around Sihanouk Ville. Sihanouk-Ville is believed to be so enjoyable at night time. O/N in Sihanoukville. (B)
Day 8: Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh (B)
We have breakfast at the hotel and then visit the International port of Cambodia, a busy Fishing Port. After that, we continue to The Independent Square and Golden Lion that are of memorable view for the picture shooting. After lunch, we get departure to Kbal Chhay Waterfall, which is a fantastic place for the bath. And then we back to Phnom Penh where we are going to dine. Overnight in Phnom Penh. O/N in Phnom Penh.
Day 9: Phnom Penh - Departure (B)
We enjoy the leisure time in the morning until the flight departure.
